MAY

May 6, at 19 - 20.30 pm CET.

May 13, at 19 - 20.30 pm CET.

May 20, at 19 - 20.30 pm CET. Revive - How can you prepare intellectually, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually for birth and early parenthood? With Maria och Kristina. Together we’ll reflect on the subject, and share our thoughts, feelings and ideas about it with each other. We’ll also do a meditation and/or another kind of exercise to go deeper within. This session will give you new perspectives, a loving support network and the courage to follow your inner voice and deepest desires. When they were expecting their first child, they decided to create the best possible circumstances for welcoming their baby into the world. For them, this was at home, in the house they had built for themselves and where they felt the most secure.

Because they knew that the birth experience could have a tremendous impact on the rest of all their lives, they chose to create a powerful and intimate experience that they were the only ones to witness. Some of their fundamental values are authenticity and empowerment, and their birth choice reflects that. Together they run Råsta Gård, where they live and offer courses and events.

As an obstetrician-gynecologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Dr. Shah cares for patients at critical life moments that range from childbirth to primary care to surgery.

As a scientist and social entrepreneur, he is a globally recognized expert in designing solutions that improve health care. Dr. Shah is listed among the "40 smartest people in health care" by the Becker's Hospital Review, and has been profiled by the New York Times, CNN, and other outlets. He is written more than 50 peer-reviewed academic papers and contributed to four books, including as senior author of Understanding Value-Based Healthcare (McGraw-Hill), which Don Berwick has called "an instant classic" and Atul Gawande called "a masterful primer for all clinicians."

Prior to joining the Harvard faculty, Dr. Shah founded Costs of Care, an NGO that curates insights from clinicians and patients to help delivery systems provide better care. In 2017, he co-founded the March for Moms Association, a coalition of more than 20 leading organizations, to increase public and private investment in the wellbeing of mothers. Dr. Shah currently serves on national advisory boards of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the Office of Women's Health Research at the National Institutes of Health.
